Sunday song party - 5/12/2010


Today is the last song party for this year so I decided to put two songs.

This is a Christmas song! Despina Vandi is a big star here in Greece and this song is an old time classic.

Panna cotta...

   

Today I will share with you one of my favorite  desert recipes!Panna cotta!
 An Italian desert wich is light and tasty. 
 A desert easy to prepare and with very few ingredients.
The perfect dessert to end a dinner.

Ingredients(For 5 to 6 people)


  • 300 gr low fat milk
  • 200 gr. cream
  • 12 gr.  gelatin leaves                
  • 65 gr. fine sugar
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • strawberry syrop to garnish (or some other syrup of your choice)




  We put the milk and the sugar in a saucepan with medium heat. Stir until the sugar melts and when it is hot enough we add the gelatine leaves   (which first we have softened in cold water) and we stir until they melt. Then we add the cream and the vanilla extract and we stir for about a minute and a half.


Divide the mixture in bowls and put them in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 hours
 
 
 
We serve with the strawberry syrop!
