Let's talk about magazines....

There are Magazines for all tastes ...
Magazine for the home, for the fashion, gossip magazines, cooking magazines, about fishing or science and many more ...

At each stage of my life I had different preferences. As a child I wanted magazines with cartoons, as a teenager I wanted magazines for teenagers(Fashion, music, movies), later I wanted magazines for fashion and style, and now all I want to read is magazines for decoration, for cooking, for crafts pretty much anything has to do with the housekeeping.

How much I love to sit comfortably on my couch and read my favourite magazines, drinkink my coffee or my tea!

My favourite magazine ever...
If you like your house to be featured in the magazine you can  email some snapshot of your house  25_beautiful_homes@ipcmedia.com

 Another favourite.....

Real food is a Greek magazine about cooking and household

An old time classic I just love it...

What is your favourite magazine and your favourite place to read it?

Time....

It's been a while since my last post. It was a  long week. My son didn't go to school because he was sick. So many things to do at home and time....? Time was so limited!  I had to manage my time properly in order to catch everything. But that was not entirely possible, something had to be sacrificed so I sacrificed my blog!Anyway things now are back to normal.
I'm in the process of decorating my house for Christmas.

Sunday song Link party...

Today is Natasha's Sunday Songs Party .....
One of my  favorite song is "Proti Fora (first time). A Greek song wich is40 years old, composer of which is Mimis Plessas. Rena Koumioti was the first person who sing it. In this version of the song is the singer Yiannis Kotsiras. A live performance at Thessaloniki
Just listen to it....

Lyrics

The first time

My eyes
in your eyes
and the star above, my God
oh, that it would never end
this moment, my God
oh, that it would never end
this moment my God

Your fever
within me
fire that quivers
the world became a single drop
that could no longer hold me
the world became a single drop
that could no longer hold me

The first time that I love you
the first time that I know you
the first time in your arms
I am born and I die
the first time in your arms
I am born and I die

A beautiful day...

A few days ago was my daughter's christening. The day prior to baptism was raining and the baptism was to be held outdoors.  It was a small beautiful outdoor church! Rain and outdoors is never a good combination... What would happen to the ceremony of the baptism and the baby, who by the way she had fever! What would happen to the guests? To the decoration? I could not sleep all night ... Once it dawned however I  ran to look out of the window and oh what a miracle. A beautiful day ... A beautiful sunny day ...I was so grateful ... Everything was really wonderful.... My little princess's  day...  A day of joy and happines...

The church....

z
The favors... I made them... 180 pieces... A big thanks to Crafty Staci. I used one of her ideas! Go and Check it out...  craftystaci.com/2010/04/08/forever-fabric-flowers/

Everybody loved them...

So girlie....

Macarons....

Here in Greece every guest  wears one little cross.. The proof  that they were  at the ceremony

The train that brought the guests from the parking to the church...

So adorable...

My little princess...

Something sweet.....

Cheers....!!!

All the best for everyone.....

Light tiramisu......

Do you like  tiramisu? I love it. So I decieded to simplify the recipe. The original recipe has 5 to 8 eggs (both whites and yolks) and  1 cup of sugar!!! You have to beat the whites to made them in maringue and then put them in the mix. So I decide to simplify the recipe and I used only 2 eggs yolks and 5 tbsp sugar. I also added a vanilla extract .Anyway I just made it easier and lighter and it is still tasteful and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet biscuits savoiardi (lady fingers)
  • 2 eggs (yolks)
  • 5 tbsp confectioners sugar
  • 400 gr mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • Espresso coffee (to dive in the savouagiar)
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • Cocoa (unsweeted)

ingredients...

beat the yolks with the sugar

when the colour turn white...

put the mascarpone cheese and the pure  vanilla extract...

Beat the mix until it becomes a smooth cream...

then dip the savoiardi in the mix of coffee and  rum...

place them in a dish ....

when the bottom is covered spread half of the cream and continue with the rest of the savoiardi....

spread the rest of the cream...

we leave it in the refrigerator for 4 hours

we sprinkle with cocoa...

and it's ready....!!!
